School Overview

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School (SEASCS) is in its nineteenth year and is accredited through Western Catholic Education Association and is recognized by the Core Knowledge Foundation as a visitation school. SEASCS is located in the beautiful Northwest part of the city in the community of Summerlin.

The school was dedicated and opened in the Fall of 2000 with half of the total facility.  The second half of the school opened in the Fall of 2002. Since 2002, the school has continued through various development phases to become a fully staffed and fully enrolled Catholic School.

SEASCS offers a comprehensive, liberal arts education for grades K through 8th.  Grades 6-8, is operated as a departmentalized Middle School (Religion, Math, Literature, English, Social Studies, and Science).  Class-sizes are limited to 30 students, thereby reflecting a total enrollment of 540 students.

The school offers special classes in Music, Art, Technology, Physical Education, Library, and Spanish to all grades.  The school operates on a trimester system and report cards are distributed in November, February/March, and May.

All grades in K-8 attend Mass on Wednesdays.  All Masses served and lectured by students. Homilies are scripture-related for the age groups attending.

Students at SEASCS participate in all Diocesan school programs including sports leagues, cheerleading, spelling bee, geography bee, forensics, and science fair.  Students also participate in a myriad of Parish ministries, as well as, after school programs consisting of Art Club, Music Club, Choir, Chess Club, Scouts, and Youth Ministry.

SEASCS has an active parent organization, which raises funds in support of students and tuition assistance. Students are most participative in fundraising efforts through art projects developed in the school and offered at auction during an annual Spring fundraiser, Artesia.

SEASCS offers a highly organized and structured K-8 curriculum which is supported by a well organized up-to-date technology infrastructure and trained staff.  Teachers align classroom instruction to the standards provided by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Students have every opportunity to experience and utilize technology through a school lab, classroom computers, and a school laptop program for students in grades 5-8.

The curriculum in place at SEASCS is the Core Knowledge Sequence.   Courses offered include: Religion (Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, K-5 and Christ Our Life 6-8), Sadlier Math (K-5), 2019 Pearson Envisions Common Core Algebra and Envision Math Program (6-8), Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Literature, Reading (Core Knowledge Language Arts (K-5) and HMH Collections (6-8), Music, Technology, Art, and Physical Education (SPARK-PE).
